The Hutt Valley Heart Trust uses donations in the following ways:

  • To assist with the purchase of specialised equipment for coronary care
  • To provide study grants for medical, nursing and other health related professional staff
  • The provision of comforts for patients, and
  • The advancement of skills in cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and hospital care.

Since its incorporation in October 1986, the Trustees have been working tirelessly to raise funds to implement these objectives. They have been encouraged by continuing gifts from patients, friends, families, trusts, estates, companies, service clubs, sporting bodies and others. All monies received go back into Cardiology and the Coronary Care Unit at Hutt Hospital, Lower Hutt. The Trust does not receive any funding from Government. It is registered with the Charities Commission No. CC20233.

Hutt Valley Heart Trust values a close working relationship with Take Heart Club Hutt.
